Cinnamon Apple Quinoa Breakfast Bars





An sweet and chewy easy make-ahead breakfast to grab on the go, packed with plenty of protein and whole grains to keep you satisfied till lunch.

Ingredients

  •  cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa, cooled to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup ground flax seed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/3 cup AllWhites 100% liquid egg whites
  • 2 Tablespoons almond butter or other nut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cups chopped apples about 1/4 inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

1.   Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9x9 in. square baking pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
2.  In a large bowl, combine the oats, quinoa, baking powder, flax seed, and cinnamon and stir until evenly distributed.
